Clifford E. Lee Choreography Award
This prestigious award offers an emerging choreographer the unique opportunity to develop a commission within the professional facilities of the Centre, working with the dancers and production teams of our Professional Dance program. The award is offered on a two-year cycle and is open to both Canadian and American choreographers emerging on the North American dance scene.
The Koerner Foundation Distinguished Guest Artist in Choreography
This bi-annual award, established by The Koerner Foundation in 2010, offers an established choreographer the opportunity to develop a new original work to be premiered by the dancers in the Banff Professional Dance program as part of the Banff Summer Arts festival. A jury made up of the artistic directors whose companies are participating in the Banff Professional Dance program nominates and selects the award recipient.
