Fitness Assessment
(up to 1.5 hours): $70 + GST
A one on one appointment that determines the level of health in the various areas of fitness: body composition, cardiovascular fitness (submax VO2 to predict max), flexibility, muscular strength, and muscular endurance. See Fitness Test PAR-Q for specifics.
Percent body fat assessment available at consultant's discretion ($20 + GST).
Advanced Max VO2 available at Health and Fitness Coordinator’s discretion
(booked through Kiley only).
Fitness Consultation
Get a personalized training program designed for you
(up to 1.5 hours): $70 + GST
This is a one on one appointment which begins with an outline of clients goals. The Fitness Consultant will then design a specific personalised fitness room or cardio program based on goals, as described by the client, and walk the client through the program to show proper technique and answer any questions.
Fitness Room Orientation
(1 – 1.5 hours): free of charge to members (2 – 4 people/session)
This is a group session that will explain fitness room etiquette, proper technique of cardio machines, and proper technique for weight machines. Does not provide a specific fitness room program, but could be used to develop one if individual has enough experience or knowledge.
Personal Training
(up to 1 hour): $50 + GST
A one on one training session for an individual who has already completed a Fitness Consult (i.e., has an existing fitness room program developed by a Fitness Consultant). Ideal for individuals who require more than an initial consult to feel comfortable in the fitness room, want a refresher on technique, require additional motivation through a trainer present, or someone who wants progressions and changes to their existing program.
NEW: Strength Training 101 for Teens
Looking to learn more about strength training but not sure where to start? This course is designed specifically for teens to introduce them to the fitness room at the Sally Borden. You will learn the basics of strength training including proper technique, alignment, training tips and safety considerations. Exercises will be demonstrated with options for modifications and each participant will leave with a specific program to follow.

Additional services offered are:
Partner Training
A 1.5 hour fitness consultation for friends, co-workers, or couples that includes a program design so that you can train together or individually. $40 per person.
Partner Training Follow Up
Update and re-energize your partner training program with a one-time follow up session. $35 per person.
Boot Camp Buddies
A private/small-group gym-based workout using our portable equipment. One of our certified personal trainers will guide you through a mini boot-camp workout in the gymnasium. $75 per group.
