Project Team

In September 2004, The Banff Centre retained the services of Diamond and Schmitt Architects, recipients of over 150 national and international awards for design, to develop the campus master plan and design new facilities.

Firm principal Jack Diamond, says the design of the Kinnear Centre reflects its role as a focal point and creative crossroads for the revitalized campus. “Consistent with the aim of creating the formal and informal heart of the renewed Banff Centre, the Kinnear Centre is placed at the physical and symbolic crossroads of the campus.... Within the building the enhancement of contact between faculty and participants, creators and performers, between the arts and business, and between people from different disciplines, has been the leitmotif of the design."
