Imagine a place that exists for artists — to provide them with the time, space, and support to grow professionally and creatively. This place is The Banff Centre, and we invite you to join us!
Located in the incredible setting of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, The Banff Centre is a unique 43-acre “village for the arts” in the heart of Banff National Park. The Centre operates year-round, offering intensive programs for artists at every stage of their professional careers. From recent graduates to artists at the forefront of the international scene, we have something to offer everyone.
While participating in a program, artists stay on campus in our residences, which have all the amenities of a well-appointed hotel room, including the luxury of daily housekeeping service. Artists take their meals on campus at one of our sumptuous dining facilities. No cooking, cleaning, or distractions — just mountains of inspiration!
Faculty are visiting artists, luminaries in their fields, who are brought in from around the world to share their experience and expertise with artists participating in our programs. In a setting that creates community and collaboration, program participants are respected for their important role as artists. Aside from the activities of their program, artists can participate in the larger community of the Centre, mingling with artists in all disciplines; attending world-class concerts, performances, readings, exhibitions, and other events; and enjoying swimming, yoga, and fitness classes at our Recreation Centre as well as outdoors adventures throughout Banff National Park.
