Kyo Maclear is an independent writer and editor based in Toronto. Her first book, Beclouded Visions: Hiroshima-Nagasaki and the Art of Witness (State University of New York, 1999), addresses questions of historical memory and witnessing in twentieth century art. Her work has been published in several art and culture magazines, including Toronto Life, Brick, Mix, Fuse and This Magazine.
