David Layton, Contributor

David Layton is the son of Irving Layton and the godson of Leonard Cohen. He was born in Montreal in 1964, but has spent most of his life in Toronto and London, England. After travelling in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, he earned a degree in philosophy at the University of Toronto. There he wrote his first article, “Lies My Professor Told Me,” which was published in This Magazine. He now divides his time between freelance editing and writing.
