A participant in the Writing Studio (1993 and 1996 Rachel Wyatt), Gail Helgason lives in Edmonton and is working on a novel. Her short story collection Fracture Patterns (Couteau Books 1995) was shortlisted for the Writers Guild of Alberta Best First Book Award and the City of Edmonton Book Prize (1996).
