Kelly Greene was born in Buffalo, New York in 1962. She lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico for twenty years and moved to London, Ontario in 1989, where she currently lives. She is of Mohawk/Italian heritage from the Six Nations Reserve. Kelly completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Western Ontario in 1994. Her solo exhibitions have included A Patio Party by the Cottage Near the Woods, Palace at 4 A.M., London (1996), and Iroquois Solar Longhouse, 1994 Version, Museum of Archaeology, London (1994). Selected group shows include First Nations Art, Woodland Cultural Centre, Brantford (1990-1998); Godi'nigoha': The Women's Mind, Woodland Cultural Centre, Brantford (1997); Be It So It Remains in Our Minds, a collaborative installation for the Oh Canada Project, Art Gallery of Ontario (1996); Festive Banquet (1994) and Festival of Lights (1993), York Quay Gallery, Harbourfront Centre, Toronto; and Remembrance (1995) and A Cup For a Cup (1993), Forest City Gallery, London. Kelly has also exhibited at the McIntosh Gallery, London (1994), Native Indian/Inuit Photographer's Association, Hamilton (1992), and London Regional Art and Historical Museums, London (1990, 1991).
