Camilla Gibb is the author of three novels, several short stories, essays, and reviews.  Her first novel, Mouthing the Words, published to great acclaim, won the 2000 City of Toronto Book Award, and is currently in development as a feature film. Her most recent novel, The Petty Details of So-and-So’s Life was also a bestseller in 2002. Her third novel, Sweetness in the Belly is scheduled for publication in spring 2005. Her books have been published in fourteen countries in eleven languages, and she was selected by the jury of the Orange prize in 2000 as one of two young Canadian writers to watch in the new century. Gibb was the winner of the CBC Canadian Literary Award for short fiction in 2001. Gibb’s short fiction, articles, essays, and reviews have appeared in many Canadian and American periodicals, academic journals, and anthologies. She holds a Ph.D. in social anthropology from Oxford University.
