Will Ferguson's debut novel,
Generica (Penguin 2001), was hailed by the Globe and Mail as
an "uncompromising and brilliant satire." Ferguson is also
the author of eight non-fiction works, including Why I Hate
Canadians (Douglas & McIntyre 1997), Bastards &
Boneheads (Douglas & McIntyre 1999), and Canadian History
for Dummies (CDG 2000). He once hitchhiked the length of Japan,
following the cherry blossoms north, as retold in his travel
narrative, Hokkaido Highway Blues (Soho 1998). Ferguson
currently lives in Calgary with his wife and young son.
