Elizabeth Chitty was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and lives in Toronto, Ontario. She received a B.A. in Fine Art (Dance Major) from York University in Toronto. She has staged numerous performances, exhibitions, videotaped performances, videographies, and screenings. She has contributed to several publications namely Spill, as editor, York Dance review, Dance in Canada Magazine, Performing Arts in Canada, Fuse, and Parachute.
