Brendan Wilson
Although originally from the Bow Valley in Alberta, Brendan Wilson
moved to Australia as a teenager where he completed a BSc in
applied environmental biology at the University of Technology in
Sydney. Brendan stayed on at UTS to complete an honours thesis
investigating the effect of selective harvesting on understory
plant communities in an Australian subalpine forest. In the
mid-1990s, he moved back to the Alberta Rockies to investigate the
regeneration dynamics of alpine larch for his PhD at the
University of Alberta. Brendan now lives in the West Kootenays in
British Columbia where he focuses on whitebark pine ecology.
