Shauna Flanagan

Shauna Flanagan is a member of the Cold Regions Research Centre
and a Masters candidate in the Department of Geography and
Environmental Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her current
research is focused on theoretical approaches to the study of risk
and disaster, with particular emphasis on the human ecology of
vulnerability and response to environmental risks. Her Masters
thesis, titled Differential vulnerability to debris flow hazard
in high-mountain communities of the Karakoram Himalaya, is
near completion. Shauna hopes to pursue her doctorate in the near
future.
