Seeking stories
from Leadership Development alumni
What lasting impressions have you taken away from your participation with Leadership Development at The Banff Centre? Did you change careers, or simply change the way you look at the one you’re in? Perhaps the impact of Leadership Development was felt on a more personal level, with ripple effects through all areas of your life?
Alumni in Leadership Development have some wonderful stories to tell about their experiences at The Banff Centre, and we want to hear more! We’re seeking stories from our alumni to share on a new alumni section of The Banff Centre website, and we may feature several in upcoming issues of the online edition of Inspired magazine.
Nick Nissley, executive director of Leadership Development at The Banff Centre, is a strong believer in the power of story , and the impact that can be felt both personally and professionally by paying attention to the stories that emerge in our lives and our organizations.
“Today most leaders have an appreciation for the need to develop their storytelling capacity,” Nissley says. “In fact, most organizations recognize storytelling as a critical leadership competency. Simply put, leaders must be able to convincingly share their stories (e.g., their vision, the organization’s strategic plan) within their organizations and externally to a diverse body of stakeholders.”
We invite you to send us your stories, which may be featured on the new Alumni section on The Banff Centre’s website.
Your submission will serve as permission for us publicize your story.
(Please note we may edit stories for length.)
