(Director of customer services) Jim Olver was fantastic, he came in and asked if our group had any problems, if there was one he took care of it immediately. He then took our group on a site tour (something I recommend for anyone staying here), and showed us around with such enthusiasm and passion you wanted to see and learn more.
(Our conference service manager) was great! She was prompt at getting back to me and she dealt with any questions I had in a professional and friendly manner. She then came to see me daily to ensure that everything was going okay, and when I needed anything during our stay, she got it done quickly and efficiently.
You start working with strangers and you leave with new friends/family. Thank you to all of the staff at the Centre; you made my first conference go off without a hitch!”

“The numerous flights in and out of the Calgary Airport and the ground transportation options to Banff, made our travel to a beautiful facility in a national park in the middle of winter as easy as it was going to get.
One of the challenges we faced in the past when we held this conference at other resort/retreat/type locations was to try and take a banquet space and turn it into a business meeting space. This was not easy and often expensive when you consider our need for top notch audio and visual equipment and electronics, the right kind of room that we could make comfortable for delegates to spend eight hours plus in meetings, etc.. The Banff Centre was ready for us.
The food…an important part of the conference! It is hard to focus when you are wondering about the next meal. At our last session, I had the best meal and service I had ever experienced at a conference. The meal matched the surroundings, quite fantastic! Our participants love the meals in the Vistas Dining Room; it was hard to say which is better - the food or the view.
Two other reasons why we have booked our conference at the Centre for next year - first, though we were there for a business function with a particular goal, the opportunities to do so much more became clear. Other services at the Centre enhanced our necessary events. The Leadership Development team turned our teambuilding into interesting challenges, even for the seasoned conference participant who had seen many "teambuilding" activities in the past. My group will not forget about their experiences with the Leadership Development team any time soon. The second reason we will keep coming back to The Banff Centre is because of the talented team of people that make our conference so successful. I work for a great organization and it is our people that are the greatest value. The same with the Centre. When something doesn't go as planned, and that is always the case with conferences in my experience, The Banff Centre staff turn on a dime to make our sessions perfectly executed events. The Banff Centre staff made our 2011 session the best that can be offered anywhere. I am looking forward to a repeat performance for 2012.”
