The nature of land and the diversity within Indigenous cultures is the inspiration behind Diverse as This Land, a seven-year music project in Aboriginal Arts at The Banff Centre. Diverse As This Land explores how land shapes and informs vocal and cultural expression. It reveals the spectrum of Indigenous music, representing rock, folk, traditional, and contemporary music genres, all influenced by their distinct cultures.

This year, we are excited to continue this landmark series with our second CD showcasing the deep wonder of mountain and woodland songs. This compilation features the dynamic sounds of artists George Leach, Pura Fé, M'Girl, and Altai Khangai.

The Diverse As This Land Volume II CD is now available for purchase! The cost is $20 plus $5 for shipping and taxes; or you can take advantage of a special holiday offer: buy both Diverse As This Land Volume II and Songs Above the Treeline, the first CD in the series, for $25 plus GST, including shipping and handling.

Proceeds from the sale of the CD will go directly into a scholarship fund for Aboriginal artists to attend programming at The Banff Centre.
